Plan for Safe Return to In-Person Instruction

Mask Update Spring 2021
After much discussion, our Board voted to remove the mask requirement for students and staff effective upon return from Spring Break, March 22, 2021.
We hope this will give everyone the opportunity to at least get the first round of the vaccine, if they so choose.
The close contact definition remains the same, and masking may affect this determination (both the infectious individual and the potential close contact).  Therefore, if we have a confirmed case in the district, the health department may quarantine those who have been in close contact.
Our COVID-19 numbers have dramatically decreased over the past months and we are three weeks without an active case in the district.  We will continue to monitor our cases and close contacts.  If cases and/or quarantines significantly increase, the face covering requirement will likely be reinstated.
Mask wearing remains a personal choice and will be permitted at school.  Face coverings are still encouraged at school events where large numbers of community members gather.
We will continue social distancing where feasible and sanitization will remain a top priority.
