Middle School Bands Compete in Local Contests

Congratulations to the 7th/8th grade and 6th grade bands for an outstanding performance at the Abernathy Band Festival. Both groups received straight 1's, earning a sweepstakes award.

In addition, the 7th/8th grade band was selected as an overall outstanding middle school band and the 6th grade band was selected as an overall outstanding 6th grade band. This is an incredible accomplishment!

Abernathy 7th and 8th grade band also received an OUTSTANDING performance at the Greater Southwest Music Festival. The band earned an Outstanding rating from all three of their judges. This is the highest rating given at this festival.

We are incredibly proud of these groups and the hard work they have put in.

The 8th-HS band concert is Thursday, May 11th @ 6:31pm.

The 5th-7th grade band concert is Monday, May 15th @ 6:31pm.
